Hi! I'm Rev. Kevin S. Johnson. My occupation
is one of ordained minister and apologist for the Christian
faith. My role is also a pastoral one to the members of the
Body of Christ whom the Lord brings me in contact with on
a regular basis. Our mission is mainly to the United States
of America (even with all of the extra expense and challenges
that come with our culture!)
As president of the Institute For Christian
Apologetics and director of Mount Carmel Outreach, I wish
to welcome you to this pictorial that will hopefully allow
you to get a visual glimpse of what we are all about. I'm
sure you will see how much of a team effort this ministry
is, beginning with my lovely wife Julie. Just scroll down
and you will see our ministry headquarters.
A Pictorial Overview
Of Our Ministry Headquarters

This is our recording studio where we produce Perspective
Underground. In addition to standard radio,
these programs have been broadcast via the World Wide
Web and have received responses from as far away as Toronto,
New York, Los Angeles, Japan and Jerusalem.

This is part of our research library on the
cults, the occult, false religions and orthodox Christian
theology. We utilize these books to help others with questions,
write articles and work on books, articles and tracts of
our own.

It was here that Eric Pement, Joel Griffith,
Gavin Rittmeyer and Kevin Johnson worked on research and
writing for the Cults Charts Book by ICA board member Dr.
H. Wayne House. (Zondervan)

Yes, Weddings Are An Ongoing Part Of Our Ministry

Though Kevin did officiate at their weddings,
the above couples did not get married in
our chapel.
Still, We Thought You'd Enjoy Seeing
Them Nonetheless!
The Auditorium

The 3,000 Square Foot Auditorium Is Still
Being Renovated But Much Has Already Been Accomplished!

All the green and white paint is new. Our wonderful brother
in Christ, Don Kirkpatrick, restored the entire ceiling using
scaffolding and ladders before painting started. There were
20 gallons of paint put on the ceiling during the summer
of 2001 by Duane Wenzel, a professional painter (and
his crew) who is a faithful listener to our radio program.
An interview stageset with backdrops featuring Chicago, Washington
D.C. and Jerusalem are needed for cosmopolitan midwestern
topics, political topics and prophetic and Middle Eastern
topics. A proper curtain to cover the American gothic folk
art background is also needed for when we are not having
Bluegrass Gospel or "Church in the Country" presentations.

Regular Meetings Are Hoped For, Lord
Willing, In 2002
Although we have an electric furnace,
a gas furnace is needed along with a cement faux/brick
porch to replace the current wood porch which is in disrepair.
Property Restoration and Remodeling

There has been the need to refurbish and
renovate buildings, sometimes even down to pouring new foundations.
The Johnson boys always like to watch and
help. We are very grateful to those who have "pitched in" as
unto the Lord and volunteered their services with a joyful
giving heart. It is very encouraging and makes the task seem
less daunting.

There has been the need for big trucks
from time to time!

As Well As Bobcats!

Sons of encouragement; Woody (left) and Maury
look on. We will miss Woody as he recently went home to be
with the Lord. Both of these dear brothers have helped much
and have done so very cheerfully.
This is true encouragement like Barnabas
of old!
Real Men of God:
Some people should be publically thanked
for all that they have done here such as the aforementioned
men. While space doesn't permit us to include everyone, we
are especially thankful to the Lord for the following for
their faithful service above and beyond the call of duty:
Ken Francis, Dan Mork, Vern Anderson, Cliff Sandberg, Leland
Erickson, Nathan Hale, and all the other amazingly talented
and giving men of
First Evangelical Free Church.

There are also two special men who, like
ancient Israel's Caleb and Joshua, need to be singled out.
Without the constancy of the volunteer help and vision of
these two rugged and resourceful men of God we wouldn't have
been able to proceed with all we have needed to do here.
They are both named Don, one Kirkpatrick (above ) and the
other Corp (below). We owe them a great debt of gratitude
and we are truly thankful to our Lord for them and their
wonderful spouses, Bonnie and Carol !

Here are some of the people who have encouraged
us by contributing their skills and goods towards this ministry.
This includes current and past board members. We have held
many gatherings here (such as the one above) and including
several retreats for college students from Bradley University.
Kevin's wife Julie (front center) is the
powerhouse behind the scene keeping the household running
in addition to homeschooling four of their six children.
(The first to go to college was their son Joshua, who scored
a 4.0 average in his first semester which he started at age
17 and was given "highest honors" on the dean's list) Julie
is also an excellent cook and hostess for these banquet gatherings.
