In Our Newly Remodeled Auditorium!
Bob Cornuke, (on the left) President of The Base Institute
spoke at Apple Canyon Christian Center On March 7, 2003. Rev.
Kevin S. Johnson, (on Right) Director of Mount Carmel Outreach
and President of the Institute For Christian Apologetics,
introduced Bob and also spoke briefly about the ministry of
MCO/ICA.
Bob preached and taught about his explorations in Saudi Arabia
which documented the true Mt. Sinai and he also spoke of his
discovery at Malta of the 4 anchors from the Apostle Paul's
shipwreck mentioned in Acts chapter 27. Bob said he felt very
annointed during his presentation of the Gospel. By the end
of the night four people had trusted Jesus as their Saviour!
Bob is holding "manna stones" that he found in
the desert at the base of "Jabal al-Laws" or "Jabal
Musa" which is the true Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia.
These are spoken of in Numbers 11:8: "The
people would go about and gather it and grind it between two
millstones. . ." Bob announced that he doesn't
usually bring these to places he speaks at because they are
irreplaceable but said he did so this evening out of his love
and respect for our ministry. He even passed them around!
We were definitely at capacity and this caused us to rethink
some of the remodeling of the kitchen area down to a smaller
scale!
Jim and Dan Mork came out that afternoon and put permanent
outdoor spotlights in our trees and lit up the "parking
lot." The plowed snow served to give a distinct outline
to the "lot" which was really the front yard. This
underscored the need to put in a new lot and we have plans
that have been put into place with two Christian brothers
who own a gravel and construction company for them to put
in a full parking lot and widen our entance to the property
as soon as the frost thaws sufficiently.
