Evangelistic Ministry To The World:
We have been asked to counsel, speak and give seminars: to
groups like Rotary clubs, police and fire departments, parole
officers, at secular high schools both to students and teachers
seperately, on secular colleges and university campuses. We
have also made appearances and helped in the production of
secular radio and TV shows that dealt with Christian topics.
People call us on a regular basis asking questions about sharing
the Gospel of Jesus Christ with friends and loved ones who
are involved in some false belief system. Counseling centers
have also called with questions involving the occult as it
relates to their patients. In 1989 we co-sponsored the largest
conference that was ever held in the history of the Midwest
on the Cults the Occult and discernment issues. It was known
as The Rockford Conference On Discernment And Evangelism.
Ministry To The Church:
MCO/ICA has been active for fifteen years laying the foundation
for apologetics reasoning in all church venues opened to us
by the Lord. This has included mainline as well as evangelical
churches. We have "tilled the soil" for the obedience
to Phil. 3:17, Jude 3 and 1 Peter 3:15 everywhere we go. We
do this with our message of "Following The Example Of
The Apostles" and "Apologetics and Evangelism -A
Marriage Made In Heaven." We focus on the centrality
of the Godhead, Christology, and Soteriology (Salvation via
Ephesians 2:8,9) by way of encouraging and acknowledging the
true unity extant in the Body of Christ.
It became obvious early on in our ministry that the Post-Modern
world we live in has made the message of Apologetics dull
or even repugnant in the ears of many of God's people. When
we started with teachings about the cults and how to refute
them it was often met with apathy or the charge of being "negative"
and judgmental because the scriptural command to engage in
apologetics was not understood.
Thus we saw the need to persuade Christians by championing
the apologetics mandate of the scripture to the Church at
large. We did this alongside of teaching apologetics reasoning
and the exposing of the cults and false worldviews. We decided
to do both instead of just focusing on counter-cult apologetics
alone. Taking this approach, by God's grace, we have helped
open the door for the apologetics enterprise not only for
ourselves but other ministries and have emboldened Evangelical
Christians to seek to win the lost.This foundational teaching
has allowed support to come to other apologetics ministries
as well as our own. Indeed, we have repeatedly featured and
promoted other ministries on our radio program.
We Really Do Need You!
